You're doing the work of a whole team. Let's give you one.

Running communications for a church the size of NEPC is a lot for one person to carry: Sundays, ministries, social media, emails, the website. This isn't a pitch to replace anything. It's an offer to come alongside you as a partner, so the website stops being one more thing on your list.

A note before the details

I've sat in your chair.

Bobby D'Alessandro and his wife, Savannah Bobby D'Alessandro with his family

Lindsay, I've spent more than a decade in church communications, at Pinelake Church and First Baptist Starkville and now as a Fractional Communications Director at churches. I know the Friday-afternoon text with details for Sunday, the ministry leader who needs "just a quick website update," and the Sunday announcements that won't stop growing.

I also know that when one person runs every channel, the website is usually the first thing to fall behind. That isn't a reflection on the person. It's what happens when there's more work than hours.

I spent some time on nepresbyterian.org, and there's a lot to build on. Below you'll find what I think is working, a few things I noticed, a homepage concept built on NEPC's own vision, and three ways I could help, from a full rebuild to simply taking updates off your plate.

Grateful for what you do,

What's already working

NEPC has a great story to tell. Here's what's already strong.

I reviewed many of the pages on the site. Many of the hardest parts of church communication are already done well.

A vision people can remember

"Gathering, growing and going" is simple and easy to repeat. It also shows up consistently on the Students and Life Groups pages, which is hard to pull off.

Values rooted in Scripture

All five core values cite their verses. That's thoughtful and rare.

A warm guest voice

"From flip-flops to wingtips" on Plan Your Visit is exactly how a guest page should sound.

Clear volunteer asks

Listing the Top 5 serving needs gives people a real, specific next step. Most churches never do this.

No-pressure membership

Saying the New Members Class "in no way obligates you" takes the fear out of a big step.

A real content engine

100+ Intersect Podcast episodes over eight years, plus weekly sermons. That's a library most churches would love to have.

Outreach worth sharing

Christmas adopt-a-family, Good News Club and the Lamppost Library are great stories for guests to see.

Strong photography

Small groups, kids, students, worship and prayer: the photos already show a church people want to be part of.

A few things I noticed

The small stuff that slips when one person runs everything.

None of these are big on their own, and every church site I've worked on has had a list like this. A second set of hands catches them before guests do.

I'm happy to walk through any of these on a quick call, whether or not we work together.

Quick fixes
  • Two unfinished pages, Adults and Church Hub, still have template placeholder text. They aren't in the menu, but they're listed in the sitemap the site gives Google, so they can show up in search.
  • Bryce Worrell, the new Director of Discipleship & Outreach, isn't on the Our Team page yet
  • Seek Support is live but blank, and Gallery still shows the template's sample stock photos
  • Next Gen Night shows 4:30 in one spot on the homepage and 5–7pm in another
  • The sitemap sends Google to five pages that don't exist, plus internal style-guide pages
Bigger picture
  • The top of the homepage just says "Welcome!" Service times and the address are there, but further down the page
  • The menu has 34 links organized by department, not by a guest's questions
  • Some labels use insider names, like MMO and FOCUS in the menu, and Next Gen Night on the homepage
A homepage concept

Your vision, in words a first-time guest understands.

To show what's possible, I built a working homepage concept using NEPC's own vision, values and photos. Nothing new was invented. It's your content, reorganized around the questions a newcomer is asking.

01 · PromiseFind a place to belong"A church in Northeast Columbia, SC" up top, with Sundays at 9:30, the address and kids info right away.
02 · PreviewWatch last SundayThe latest sermon sits right under the hero for people who want to look before they visit.
03 · MissionGather · Grow · Go"Know God. Find your people. Make a difference." Each one links to real next steps.
04 · PlanExpect → Visit → BelongParking, what to wear and kids, then three no-pressure next steps.
Three ways I could help

Pick the partnership that fits your season.

Every option makes me part of your team, not a vendor you have to manage. You stay in charge of what NEPC says. I handle the website so you don't have to.

Option 1

Squarespace rebuild + update hub, managed

A fresh, guest-focused site on a platform any staff member can edit, plus an update hub where ministry updates come to you for a quick decision and go live when you approve them.

$3,000one-time build + hub$250/momanagement
  • Story-focused homepage and menu based on the concept
  • Custom Squarespace design, up to 25 pages
  • Sermon player that updates automatically from YouTube, organized by series and preacher
  • Update hub: ministry leaders submit events, classes and photos through the hub, you approve them, and they go live on the website
  • Redirects so old links and Google rankings carry over
  • Staff training, so you're never locked out of your own site
Best if: you want a site your team can also edit easily, at a lower monthly platform cost.
Squarespace plan: about $29/mo, billed directly to NEPC · ~10 weeks to launch
Most complete
Option 2

Custom build + update hub, fully managed

A site built from scratch for NEPC, with an update hub and tools tailored to how your team works.

$5,500one-time build + hub$350/momanagement + hosting
  • Everything in Option 1, built custom with no template limits
  • A custom update hub: forms and categories shaped around NEPC's ministries, connected to the tools you already use
  • Fast, secure hosting included, with no platform subscription
  • Mobile-first design with thumb-reach navigation
  • Room for custom growth in the future
Best if: you want to stop being the bottleneck for every update, without giving up control.
Hosting included · ~12 weeks to launch
Option 3

Monthly partner on your current site

Keep Ekklesia 360 and the site you have. I become your website person, starting with the fixes above.

$0no build cost$350/moup to 5 hrs · or $75/hr as needed
  • First month: I clean up everything in "A few things I noticed"
  • Your ministry leaders send updates straight to me
  • Events, sermons, staff and photos kept current
  • Seasonal homepage refreshes for Advent, Easter and new series
  • Monthly check for broken links and outdated pages
  • An easy path to Option 1 or 2 whenever you're ready
Best if: a rebuild isn't in this year's budget, but you need help now.

For context, Ekklesia 360's published pricing is $95–$190/mo for the platform, with design help at $125–$150/hr and custom builds starting around $15,000. My hourly rate is $75. One-time builds are 50% to start and 50% at launch. Monthly plans have a 3-month minimum, then continue month to month.

Included in Options 1 & 2 · The update hub

One place for every ministry update.

Instead of updates arriving by text, email and hallway conversation, ministry leaders send them through one simple form on their phone. It comes to you for a quick decision, and once you approve it, it goes live on the website.

  1. A leader submits itThey pick what they need, like an event, a class, a sermon or photos, and fill in a short form. The form asks for everything up front: date, time, room, registration link and image.
  2. You make a quick decisionThe request arrives complete, so there's nothing to chase. Tap Approve, Edit or Not now from your phone or computer, usually in under a minute.
  3. It goes liveApproved updates publish to the right page and calendar on the website automatically, and the leader sees it's Live, so no more "did that get posted?" I handle everything bigger, like design, homepage refreshes and new pages.

Set up for NEPC, not a template

Before it's built, we map how updates move at NEPC today, then shape the hub around it.

Your ministries, your names

Forms and categories are named for NEPC's ministries, like Next Gen, Discipleship Hour, MMO and Intersect, and ask only for what each one needs.

Works with what you use

Connects to the tools you already rely on, like ShelbyNext, YouTube and your Midweek Update email, so nothing gets entered twice.

You stay in control

Nothing goes on the website without your OK, but each decision takes a tap, not a back-and-forth. If you ever want a trusted ministry to skip the line, that's a setting.

How we'd start

Low pressure, one step at a time.

Step 1A 20-minute callWe talk through what's on your plate and what would help most. No commitment.
Step 2Pick an optionWe choose what fits NEPC's budget and season. I can help you present it to leadership.
Step 3Quick wins firstIn the first 30 days I fix the small issues, so you see progress right away.
Step 4A steady rhythmUpdates flow through me every week, and you get your time back for the work only you can do.

Let's give you a teammate.

Whether it's a full rebuild or just taking updates off your plate, I'd love to help. If it's useful, I'm also glad to walk you and your leadership through the concept.
